The soft bigotry of low expectations

2021-11-27

Thank god I do not belong to a so-called «disadvantaged group». The support would kill me.

This is how liberty dies …

Okay, I hate the Star Wars prequels, and the later movies were even worse. But that is one hell of a quote.

Side-effects/Long-term effects of doing a Covid-vaccine-adherence-Purge

2021-11-27

What will happen if you purge institutions of those who think differently? Probably nothing good.

Highly Recommended: The Works of Robert A. Heinlein

2021-11-26

Giving the recent recommendations, I noticed that I haven’t recommended the author I probably like the most.

Highly recommended: «Sunstone» graphic novel series by Stjepan Sejic

2021-11-26

Okay, if I use a «Sunstone» comparison, I should probably post about it.

Another promising story by the creator of «Sunstone» ... sigh. :-)

Visiting elderly relatives on Christmas — a long life or a life well spent

2021-11-25

Just a thought about the hesitation to visit elderly family members due to the fear of infecting them with Covid.

Why do the vaccinated still have to wear masks when they are on their own?

2021-11-25

Just a thought wenn looking at the Christmas Market regulations in 2021 (I hate that I have to write the year behind it, but I am pretty sure Covid is here to stay for more than two weeks, oops, two years to flatten the curve).

Image from a building which requires masks (even for children under 6 years of age).

No Ads, No Sponsored Placements

A comment for those seeking to use this site for personal gain: Given the increase in requests, let me be clear. I write on this blog because I want to. It’s my hobby, my playground. Sometimes people point me to interesting products/services and I write about them. But any request regarding ads or sponsored placements ends up the trash without a reply. And if you think something would be of interest, differentiate yourself from the spammers by referring to a posting — in an intelligent way. (I get enough auto-generated mails to identify them immediately.)

BTW, posts can get updated after I published them if I spot spelling errors (not a native speaker) or think a different wording might improve precision and clarity.

Filter Blog Entries & Categories

This blog is not focused on a single topic, or method. As long as it is relevant to improving creativity (or allowing it in the first place), it's fair game. The heterogeneity of the postings can make reading this blog a bit cumbersome, at least if you are only interested in one topic. You can either use the search function (above), or use the categories or the tags to narrow down the postings you see.
