The nameless are like dust with no one to offer flowers.
Only those with names are honored.
«Record of Lodoss War»
Recently I had troubles coming up with a name for a character in a story, so I wondered whether ChatGPT cannot generate a name finder. After a short conversation, it came up with the following HTML page (works offline). Still some bugs, e.g., empty categories, but overall, pretty cool.
I did focus on Western names only, as some cultures have rather specific naming schemes.

It shows information about the names, you can bookmark them (until you clear the cache). There are also links to behind the name and Google/Brave searches for the name.

Selected tags change the order by fit.

Bookmarked names can also be exported.

Still trying it out, but ChatGPT has its moments. Things a group of students would perhaps manage as a semester project, if at all, done in less than half an hour. After the app concept was done, 16 minutes and 37 seconds for the name table, and 7 minutes 32 seconds for the website itself.
The website is here: https://www.organizingcreativity.com/worksheets/the_name_cabinet.html (downloaded it should also work locally).
Impressive.
