Female Pro-Westling in Japan

One big difference between men and women is that if a woman says «Smell this» it usually smells nice.

As there were no available sumo events when I was in Japan, I looked for something … similar. Well, it’s probably the opposite, but female pro-wrestling was entertaining in its own way.

Granted, the first thought after it began was to leave while saying loudly: «This is stupid and you’re all perverts.». But using a bit of perspective taking, it’s its own fun.

As I do not speak Japanese, I missed any backstory, feuds, or whatever they have going and instead watched about two hours of fake fighting. At times it’s so over the top, it’s … yeah:

But hey, at least they seem to be having a great time. And the optics are certainly nicer than in a Sumo match. 😉

There are also some interesting para-social interaction vibes, which might explain why 95% of the audience was male (and a few of them awkwardly so).

Only regret: I wasn’t sure what the rules were for bags and cameras, so I left both at the hotel. Turns out, you could bring a bag and a camera. So, only smartphone photos. And yeah, I’ve missed my X-T4.

And they could have made the ticket a bit more accessible. It turns out KFC Hall has nothing to do with food, but with a fashion center or something.

But yeah, interesting dip into two very foreign culture (wrestling and Japan). 😉
