The time to read is any time: no apparatus, no appointment of time and place, is necessary. It is the only art which can be practised at any hour of the day or night, whenever the time and inclination comes, that is your time for reading; in joy or sorrow, health or illness.

We recently got height adjustable desks at work. Best unintended feature — if you sit in the desk chair and have a foot hammock tied beneath the desk, you can easily select how high you want your feet while reading:
Okay, it’s a bit decadent, but try to find a good reading position in a modern office. I don’t like to read on a computer display, esp. given that I do my annotations per hand (much to the despair of the students who have to decipher them).
So, yeah, I can highly recommend these desk hammocks. Esp. if you put your lower legs in the hammock, not your shoes. Keeps everything clean (with the shoes hanging in the air).
