Frankly, I’m impressed by the amount of thought and reflection found online. Sure, there’s a lot of knee jerk reaction as well, but from time to time, you stumble upon people who … make sense. People whom you’d be thankful for — if you had encountered them earlier and trusted them.
One of these people — at least regarding the question whether college/university is worth it — is Victor Zen (yup, but ignore the looks). I highly recommend listening to this video, esp. if you are about to go to college/university. Or know someone who does.
Highly recommended. And yup, even a third of the world away, I totally agree. Make the best of college/university … use what you are giving access too .. take it from someone who has been to the university. Use it, don’t waste it. Or to quote the video:
“You’re buying an environment, not an education. The education is something you build for yourself.”
