Germany has a party that claims to be almost libertarian, well, at least something close. It’s the FDP, the classical-liberal “Free Democratic Party”. I’ve written about them regarding their atrocious ad campaign (I could eat crayons and shit better posters), but seems like they have surpassed themselves.
Just compare the assertions of the party leader prior to after the last general election.
Prior: Mandatory vaccinations are problematic regarding the constitution, and, no, measles are not a valid comparison, as vaccinations do not immunize you completely against the virus and you cannot end Covid this way.
After: We already have mandatory vaccinations like for measles, so there are no problems regarding the constitution.
You can’t make this shit up.
Luckily, I did not vote for them, nor will I ever vote for them again. And they should really change their name from «Freie Demokratische Partei» («Free Democratic Party») to «Feige Demokratische Partei» («Cowardly Democratic Party»).
And the really awful thing (even beyond that awful human being) — there goes another voice for a different handling of a medical and political crisis. And you cannot handle the situation if all politicians — that are in power — think that they have hammer (or a gun), and should use it.
Shame, but not surprising.
