New Wine in Old Skins (Music)

A painter paints pictures on canvas.
But musicians paint their pictures on silence.

After the last two … relatively depressing postings, here’s something “light”. A beautiful cover of Guns ‘n roses: “Sweet Child o’ Mine”. A rather unusual one. Michelle Kwan play’s it on a Guzheng (nah, didn’t recognize the name either, but I’ve seen it in a couple of martial arts movies ;-)).

Makes you wonder how it would look like if time travel were possible and you’d go back to ancient China and play that song. Perhaps a bit like stamping Queen’s “We will rock you” in “A Knight’s Tale” (and yup, you’d have to carry a battery pack as well).

Hmm, wasn’t there a Guzheng scene in the movie “Hero” (Jet Li)? Hmmm …
