Good timber does not grow with ease.
The stronger the wind the stronger the trees.

While I prefer to wear baseball caps, there are situations in which I cannot wear them. For example, during strong gusts of wind — that are rather frequent in northern Germany — and while visiting churches. I might be an agnostic, but there is still being polite, and wearing a baseball cap in a church is just impolite.
As it is rather annoying to store it in a bag, I did attach a small carbine to my belt. However, the position was a bit high, so I did sew the following extension for it:
It’s simply a loop of Cordura for the belt with some stretch material sewn in, to which the carbine is attached. Small, but useful. Stays on the belt and can also be used for holding a baseball cap. It can also hold a closed small umbrella or a bag — not while walking, but if you need to have your hands free for a moment.
