AsianEfficency is a trove of productive tips (if a bit on the nose with subscriptions). Their recent article on burn out was pretty interesting and is worth reading. I think one of the major problems is noticing it in the first place (before you crash completely). It reminds me a bit of mobbing in a previous job. After work motivation crashed and I talked to a friend about what happened at work, I noticed what was happening. I mentioned (tentatively) that maybe I was being mobbed, to which she replied with (roughly translated): «No shit.» It was obvious to her, it wasn’t to me. I think burn out is similar.
