«I know music. Music has notes. This is noise.»
Giles in «Buffy – The Vampire Slayer»
Dang, music can evoke some memories. And listening to the most popular songs (with a somewhat questionable metric) is a nice way to remember. And to see what was before one’s time (I’m old, but not that old). Or to see how the quality of music (if judged by popularity) has changed.
So, yeah, Top Culture‘s compilations are worth watching (And yeah, they start in the 50s way before my time. Thankfully — note to self, never time travel to the early 50s, the music will kill you. Seriously, you might even want to start in the 70s or 80s, unless you’re a masochist, or an historian, or deaf. Or unless it’s Sinatra or a few other exceptions.):

And yeah, I stopped listening to (most) new songs somewhen after the 90s or in the early 00s. But Kudos to the creator, nice blasts from the past.
