Personally, the tip about not ending a lecture with thanks was new to me … and yeah, he has a very good point. Got to remember that. Plus the thing about taking what fits to your style from other speakers. It’s something I knew (love the quotation: “Use what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.”), but he put it very well and gave a very good example.
