Recommendation: How to Speak — Lecture Tips from Patrick Winston

What office is there which involves more responsibility, which requires more qualifications, and which ought, therefore, to be more honourable, than that of teaching?

Very interesting presentation about teaching: “How to Speak: Lecture Tips from Patrick Winston“.

Personally, the tip about not ending a lecture with thanks was new to me … and yeah, he has a very good point. Got to remember that. Plus the thing about taking what fits to your style from other speakers. It’s something I knew (love the quotation: “Use what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.”), but he put it very well and gave a very good example.
