More Bento Boxes

One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.
“A Room of One’s Own” by Virginia Woolf, 1929

Well, the experiments with my food continue … it’s interesting what you can do with a little bit of prior planning. Building on the Antipoasto ideas from yesterday, I added fried mushrooms rolled in Serrano ham (and then fried again) — which tasted really well (top row, the food in the middle of the left box).

Tomorrow it’s going to be omelet with dried tomatoes and salami (left side box) and cherry tomatoes, more dried tomatoes, fried mushrooms (rolled in whipped egg first) and two kinds of cheese. Hmm, I better pack peppermints, too.

Transporting the boxes in an insulated bag (from a shopping center) works really well. I removed the plastic handle to make it easily foldable. The bag is also lying in front of my entry door as a reminder to pack the boxes. And the chopsticks work really well for eating.

Hmm, hungry … can’t wait till tomorrow — who would have thought that you can have that much fun with a little piece of plastic. 😉
